Multi-day renters can bring their RV’s, campers, or tents if they wish to spend the night at Mistahiya (please note there are no hook-ups or sani-dumps on site).

There are public washrooms with running water at Mistahiya, but no shower facilities.

Riverdale mini park is at the turnoff to Mistahiya on highway 41 and it also has camping facilities, but with showers.

If you are averse to camping conditions, the following is a good site to inquire about lodging in either Wainwright or Vermilion, the two closest communities (Wainwright is approximately 20 minutes south and Vermilion is about 40 minutes north).

Venues

Our rustic day lodge of spruce log construction has amenities to warm you on a cool day, with soft coach lighting, two wood stoves, a leather sectional and a creative, petit bar. There are two rooms to serve you: a conference/theatre room with a stage, tables and chairs, plus a kitchen and dining area. Approximately 100 people can be accommodated in the conference room.

Amenities

Wild aspen and pine sway in the soft breeze around the groomed grounds, well designed for weddings and other functions with a stage and canopied sitting area. Enjoy a feast off the stone BBQ (propane with a wood smoke box option) and dine from a picnic table. Or go casual with a wiener roast at the fire pit, sitting in your camp chair!

Trails

You are welcome to walk the hills (ski runs) at Mistahiya, plus there is a 7.5 km. trail marked and maintained which follows along the river. A 15-minute stroll will bring you through a forested trail to the bird tower (Wainwright Wildlife society). Don’t forget your camera and binoculars!

We offer some creative accommodations plus un-serviced camping. Please inquire.
